The visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Armenia was a huge event in the history of the country and lives if its people. The Pope visited the Armenian capital Yerevan, the northern city of Gyumri and the ancient monastery of Khor Virap on the Turkish border from June 24th to 26th.

Itinerary
Day 1
Breakfast, visit Echmiadzin Holy Cathedral, walk near the open altar where His Holiness Pope Francis served a liturgy, visit Echmiadzin Matenadaran, visit the treasury-museum of the Holy Cathedral, walk to St. Gayane Church, lunch, lavash tasting, walk to St. Hripsime Church. Tour to Khor Virap Church where His Holiness Pope Francis flew doves at the Armenian-Turkish border. A ceremony of flying doves, return to Yerevan, free time, evening walk in Yerevan, dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast, walk around the Republic Square where an Ecumenical ceremony and a Prayer for Peace was performed by His Holiness Pope Francis, visit Tshitsernakaberd memorial where His Holiness Pope Francis laid flowers, visit the Genocide Museum, lunch, walk around Yerevan. Museums, exhibitions, shopping, city tour (by choice), evening meeting at the museum, discussion about the Pope’s visit, watching a video, dinner, free time in the capital city.
Day 3
Breakfast, visit Gyumri, the religious capital of the Armenian Catholic community, walk around the Vardanants Square where His Holiness Pope Francis served a liturgy, visit to Priory of Immaculate Conception Sisters, Diocese of Shirak, St. Mary (Yotverk ) Church, Catholic Apostolic Church of Holy Martyrs Armenian Gyumri (all the places visited by His Holiness Pope Francis), Gyumri traditional dinner, visit to house-museum of Aslamazyan sisters, and Dzitoghtsyan Ethnographic Complex, return to Yerevan, a rest stop on the road – coffee in Ashtarak, evening dinner in Yerevan.
